Jesus, who laid the foundation of Christianity and is also known as Jesus of Nazareth & Jesus Christ, was born to Mary and Joseph in 5 BC. According to a story by Luke, a gospels preacher, when Mary and Joseph left for Bethlehem near Jerusalem, in between the journey Mary gave birth to Jesus in a stable.
